Thank you so much for the follow-up email!
I must say, I really appreciate (and was pleasantly surprised by!) the personal touches we have encountered with Dr. Harvey’s so far – the handwritten note that came with the sample, as well as your email just now.
Bear is a 10.5-year-old Yellow Lab who was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma
in February of this year. We are going strong 2.5 months later thanks to switching from standard kibble to a home-cooked anti-cancer diet and adding in supplements (turkey tail, Yunnan, baiyo). The diet change has been difficult for both of us. His tastes and preferences have been changing with the medicines he is on, and while preparing his meals is a labor of love, it is still very time consuming, not to mention costly and wasteful if he decides he doesn’t want to eat a certain dish any longer after I have prepared several days worth.
The funny part is that although we have been working on WHAT he will eat, we certainly don’t struggle at actually getting him to eat once we find something he likes! His appetite is even better than before he was diagnosed thanks to his supplements (turkey tail, mainly!).
All of this to say – Bear has enjoyed Paradigm very much (to my surprise – he has a history of turning his nose up at green things LOL), and he will be very sad tonight when he finishes his last serving.
Best, Annie (and Bear!)
