Get to Know More About Lori

Name a unique fact about yourself.

I come from a triple generation Animal Care Family. The family home was nestled within our family-run boarding kennel, with my mother as a self-taught groomer. Taking care of all the dogs in her care even while she was pregnant, I often joke that dog hair that was swept up has literally become part of my DNA. My daughter is also working in the pet care industry and hopes to someday assist families with dogs’ nutritional needs and creature comforts, just like her mama and mama before her…

What is your favorite part of working at Dr. Harvey's?

Truly being able to make a difference. So many pet parents are scared and overwhelmed when given scary news at the veterinarian and do not know where to turn. The internet can be a blessing and a curse, full of useful and not-so-useful information. I love hearing folks audibly sigh relief that they have some actual guidance and within budget (free guidance).

What are some of the biggest myths out there about what to feed your dog?

That dogs deserve nothing but rocks (processed kibble).

What is it about our products and culture that makes Dr. Harvey's so special?

Dr. Harvey himself is truly the real deal! He cares, and so do all of us! Dr Harvey tirelessly calls and talks to folks to assist and guide them through their journeys to health. He has been talking about health and nutrition for companion animals for decades! He is my spirit animal.
