Fatty Tumors Disappear with Diet Change

Sometimes we receive an email that we need to share with the world. Below is just such an email. The email is from a guardian who did not realize how a change in diet could help in such a wonderful and dramatic way. We like to share these types of stories with others so that guardians may be helped with their own companions. Diet makes such a difference in so many ways.
Hello Dr. Harvey and Staff,
I just wanted to drop you a message about how my dogs are doing on their new food. We are using Dr. Harvey’s Canine Health-The Miracle Dog Food. My almost 10 year Schnauzer was full of fatty tumors. I have had them all checked at the vets to be sure that it wasn’t cancer. Because of his age we decided not to mess with them as the surgery would have most certainly been very dangerous at his age. I could not take that after having just lost his brother on 11/20/11. Our intentions were to put him on this food too but it was too late and we never had the chance. A specialty vet clinic administered medications without discussions with us as to what the medications were for,the side effects and so forth. Thus taking my dogs life.
My Torre
Anyway back to the food and my Torre, the mini Schnauzer. He had one lump the size of a golf ball near his breast bone. We had to leave his harness large so it wouldn’t rub.
The Lump is Almost Gone!
After about 8 weeks of feeding him this food from Dr. Harvey’s, the lump is almost gone. As a matter a fact they are ALL almost gone. He had them in his groin area. Those have shrunken to pea size now. I am amazed and know just how BAD even the high-end dog foods, which I was using, with no by-products,are for dogs. He goes for blood and urine testing for his kidneys the first of February. We hope that the diet change will impact this for him too. Cleopatra's Story- So Impressive- We had to Post it.

We recently received this email and were so moved when we read Cleo’s story that we wrote to Judi to ask her if we could post the story. Judi was kind enough to agree to sharing her story with others. We know that Judi understands the power that this type of story can have. We normally only post emails in our “What People are Saying” section, but this was so important we decided to post it on our blog.
Our hope is that when guardians share their experiences in this way that their experience may to help another guardian to find an answer for their companion.
We know that not everyone will have such a wonderful outcome, but we also believe that “terminals are for buses”.
If one companion animal gets better from this story, then we have done a good job and Judi has done a great thing by sharing her story with others.
Cleopatra’s Story
“Six years ago, my Great Pyrenees was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer at the age of 5. Cleo is an exceptional member of our family. She has a vocabulary of over 275 words and is a very intuitive and sensitive friend and companion! To look into her deep and doleful eyes takes your breath away. She is indeed a great, Great Pyrenees and we are very attached to each each other and truly appreciate one another.
At the time I discovered the small cancerous tumor on her nose, I was in the middle of a bitter divorce and my ex-husband wanted to put her down. Cleo’s first set of “parents” divorced and didn’t want to keep their 2 Pyrenees, Caesar and Cleopatra. We rescued her when she was 3. I was beside myself with the thought of losing her now, in addition to the break-up of our marriage, as well as the sudden death of my mother at the age of 96. This all happened at the same time. My cousin, Dana, advised me to call Dr. Harvey and he told me that Cleo’s cancer didn’t have to be a death sentence. His advice lead me to his website which is filled with specific information on food preparation for dogs and cats. In addition to his dog food alternative, “canine health” – which is human grade food, there is a ton of info on nutrients that are vital for good health for pets and for we humans.
First thing I did was to stop feeding Cleo regular dog food which is loaded with things that are bad for dogs. Good health for everyone begins in the kitchen. Fifi Was a Very Sick Dog

We received this email from a very grateful guardian and felt we needed to share it with everyone. There are many lessons to be learned by reading Dana and Fifi’s story.
Dear Dr. Harvey,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you thank you for all of your help. When I first got my little Fifi 6 months ago (she is a 4.5 lb pomeranian) she was in bad shape. Fifi is a retired show dog who I got from a breeder. I thought that by getting a dog from a breeder that I could rest assured that this dog was free from any ailments and illnesses. However, I was very wrong. Despite getting a letter from the breeder’s vet assuring that Fifi was very healthy, when I took her to my own vet it was quite a different story.
Fifi Had Multiple Problems
To my surprise, Fifi had kidney disease and was spilling large amounts of protein in her urine. She also had high blood pressure, a thyroid condition, an enlarged heart and an ear infection.
My Heart Sank When The Vet Told Me
My heart sank when she said, “This is serious. Fifi is a very, very sick dog. If you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars in her treatments then you might as well just return her to the breeder.” I didn’t want to give up on Fifi; I knew there was something I could do. Immediately I got on the internet and began researching natural remedies for her many illnesses.
6 Months Later With Dr. Harvey’s
Six months later since we have been giving her the Dr. Harvey’s food, Fifi has improved tremendously! All of her kidney lab test results are within healthy rage, her blood pressure is normal, and her chest x-rays show no sign of an enlarged heart. Additionally, she has never had another ear infection. I still have to give her medication to control her blood pressure and thyroid, but besides that the Dr. Harvey’s diet IS her primary medicine
I Am Completely Impressed
I am completely impressed by the company. Dr. Harvey has always been there for any questions I have had. Unfortunately, my vet does not agree with me feeding her Dr. Harvey’s diet and wants me to give her the special canned kidney dog food. After talking to Dr. Harvey I learned that feeding that food to my dog is the WORST thing you can do.
Her Labs Came Back Normal
After all her lab results came back normal, however, there wasn’t very much that she could argue; the proof was in the test results. I also want to say thank you to Dr. Harvey for the continued support. In addition to support on how to feed the food specifically for my dog’s conditions, he also gave other holistic remedies to try.
I Am Blown Away By This Company
I am blown away by this company. Never did I imagine that I would be speaking to the doctor himself who created this wonderful food. I know he is an extremely busy man, but whenever I speak to him, he treats Fifi’s health with the utmost concern and care.
I Can’t Thank Dr. Harvey Enough
I can’t thank Dr. Harvey and the entire company enough! I will feed this food to my dog for the rest of her life. :)

My Best Friend Was Diagnosed with Acute Renal Failure

It is sad to say how many cases like this that we hear about. We are happy that Mason is doing better and that his guardians wanted to pay it forward. At their request, we are sharing Mason’s story, in hopes of helping other dogs who may be suffering with the same condition.

We Spoke On The Phone-It Was So Refreshing
We have spoken a few times over the phone, which I can’t tell you how refreshing that is in a world of automated customer service.
We Were Prepared for the Worst
When I first called you back in February 2012, my best friend Mason, a 5-year old Boxer-Lab mix was suffering from Acute Renal Failure. His kidneys were functioning at 20% and we were preparing for the worst.
With the exception of working from home, the signs were so subtle, I would have never known anything was up with him until it was too late. I took him to multiple vets, all prescribing medications, fluids, etc. None of which were working. We had been feeding him a premium kibble food, a choice that runs over $80 a bag and seemingly has a short ingredient list (compared to other store-bought pet foods).
Thank You So Much
We found your product through a magazine article and I immediately called and you answered! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me about what you thought was going on with Mason on a nutritional level. Helping me plan his meals with highly digestible protein sources and fats I could control have seemingly saved, or at least
extended his life.
It’s A Miracle!
One year later his kidneys are functioning at 46%! A MIRACLE considering the permanent damage to his constitution. We have kept on a mixture of The Canine Health Formula and Veg-to-Bowl and I continually make small adjustments to the quantities to help him maintain an ideal weight without being too hungry or too full.
